Is my data really private?

Yes. Slipless processes everything on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No receipt images or spending data are ever sent to our servers — we don't have servers. If you enable iCloud backup, that uses your personal Apple ID and we have no access to it.

How does receipt scanning work?

Point your camera at a receipt and Slipless uses Apple's built-in document scanner for edge detection and perspective correction. Then on-device OCR reads every word, and our spatial parser matches items with their prices by analyzing their position on the receipt.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes unlimited manual entry, 10 AI scans per month, basic CSV export, and 12 spending categories. Pro unlocks unlimited scans, line-item extraction, budgets, expense reports, accounting platform exports (QuickBooks, Xero, Wave), PDF export, iCloud sync, and more.

Can I buy it once instead of subscribing?

Yes. Slipless Pro is available as a $2.99/month subscription, $19.99/year, or a one-time $49.99 lifetime purchase. The lifetime option gives you everything forever with no recurring charges.

How do I export to QuickBooks or Xero?

Go to Settings → Export & Backup and select the accounting platform you use. Slipless generates a file in the exact format your platform expects — CSV for QuickBooks Online, IIF for QuickBooks Desktop, and specific CSV formats for Xero, FreshBooks, and Wave.

How do I back up my data?

Two options: enable iCloud backup in Settings → iCloud Sync (uses your Apple ID), or export a full JSON backup from Settings → Export & Backup. The JSON file contains all your receipts, categories, budgets, and expense reports.

Can I restore my data on a new phone?

Yes. If you have iCloud backup enabled, go to Settings → iCloud Sync → Restore from iCloud on your new device. Or import a JSON backup file from Settings → Export & Backup → Restore from Backup.

What happens to my receipts if I cancel Pro?

All your data stays on your device. You keep everything you've already scanned and organized. You just won't be able to use Pro features like unlimited scanning or accounting exports until you re-subscribe.

Does Slipless work offline?

Yes, completely. Scanning, OCR, and all data storage happen on-device. You don't need an internet connection to use any feature. iCloud backup is the only feature that requires connectivity, and it's optional.

Manage Your Subscription

Slipless Pro subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, change, or view your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Slipless Pro and manage from there

System Requirements

  • iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later
  • Camera required for receipt scanning
  • No internet connection required (except for optional iCloud backup)
